Location: Bristol (hybrid working) Clearance: SC (or eligible to obtain)

Are you a senior systems engineering expert looking to take the lead on some of the UK’s most complex and high-impact defence projects?

A well-established consultancy that’s partnered with major defence customers to deliver big results on critical programmes are recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer. Someone who can handle complex, technical, exciting and challenging projects from day one.

 

The Role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be playing a pivotal role on key programmes and act as the systems engineering expert to provide consultation to design, develop and integrate complex systems and technologies.

This position would suit a Systems Engineer with broad expertise across the Systems Engineering lifecycle but may have a specialism within Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Requirements Management, Integration or Testing.

 

What You’ll Bring:

You’ll have demonstrable experience as a Systems Engineer ideally within the Defence sector or working directly with MOD.  You will have working knowledge and experience in the following areas;

  • Full systems engineering lifecycle (V-Model) (MBSE, Requirements Management, Testing & Integration)
  • Working with cross-functional teams on systems designs and ensuring the designs meet customer requirements
  • Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools to create models, simulations and documentation
  • Stakeholder engagement and management and capture user needs to define requirements. This role will work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and incorporate feedback into system designs
  • Awareness of operational environments, including understanding the challenges and impacts of environmental challenges (geography, climate, media, cyber etc)
  • Create user and system level requirements with clarity
  • Create, maintain and manage documentation throughout the project
  • Some awareness of sub-systems or systems of systems and the integration of sub-systems into high performance systems

It is also essential for candidates to be eligible for UK security clearance.
